Medical monitor focus on consistency and stability

With the development of computer technology, medical digital imaging systems (PACS, DR, CR, CT, DSA and MRI, etc.) are becoming more and more mature and are rapidly replacing the traditional film system. Medical digital imaging system contains three key contents: image acquisition, image processing and image display. Images obtained through the imaging system are processed, optimized to the appropriate state, and then read, interpreted and diagnosed by a doctor on a display. Therefore, the quality of the display, which is the basis for diagnosing doctors to interpret images directly, has a direct and important influence on the effectiveness and accuracy of the whole medical digital image system.

The medical endoscopy monitor has higher brightness, higher contrast, higher resolution and supports higher bit (10 to 12 bits) gray scale display compared to the ordinary display. More importantly, the medical display has the stability and consistency that ordinary display is difficult to achieve. In the selection of medical display, CR and DR still images do not require too much response time. But for systems that display moving images, such as vascular machines and digital gastrointestinal machines, medical displays with response times of less than 25ms are preferred.

Stability mainly refers to that the brightness of the medical endoscopy monitor can be kept stable at the ideal reading brightness value (generally between 400-500 CD /m2). Medical displays can adjust brightness to the original ideal, even though LCD panels age over time and their brightness diminishes.

Consistency means that in the medical digital imaging system, no matter on the display of the image acquisition equipment (CR machine, DR machine, CT machine, etc.), or on the display of the outpatient doctors, all the medical images should maintain the visual consistency, that is, the display effect of each display is the same. This is very important for a doctor to make a correct diagnosis. Because inconsistent medical images can lead to inconsistent, unreliable or erroneous diagnoses.
